The Cordele Agency was established in 2022 in Savannah, Georgia. It was a concept in development for several years based on the need for finding better, more qualified employees for their existing companies, which are multimillion-dollar entities that have contributed to the economic development of the entire southeast. As these businesses grew, the hiring demands grew as well. Several different external recruiting services were used to find talent for their organizations, but hiring managers became frustrated by receiving either poorly vetted or mismatched candidates. A service that was supposed to save the company time and money, was simply delivering a stack of resumes. “What was most disappointing was their website and sales executives claiming unique, excellent service, only to discover their servicing was lackluster, untailored and ultimately unfulfilling.”  Company leaders decided to shift their recruiting efforts inward, which led to the development of their own methods for finding talent. They utilized their vast network that they had established through the years of their other successful businesses. Their skill sets, know-how, and professional network proved to be more valuable than what was being provided by the recruiting agencies.

In 2020, the COVID-19 outbreak forced businesses to conduct layoffs, adopt remote work practice, and in many cases, close their doors completely. The businesses that survived eventually began working to return to a new normal. Companies of all sizes struggled not only with how to return to work safely, but especially with finding people who were willing and able to work. Our founders knew that they could use their recruiting methods externally to offer a more personalized, high-quality recruiting service to help companies rebound from the pandemic. And so, The Cordele Agency was born from an entrepreneurial spirit that wants her community to thrive.
